Small Groups

Feeling disconnected…get connected to a Small Group!  Community happens best in a small group setting, where you can build friendships with other people and do life together.  Small groups are the best way to meet new people and make life long friends.  Our small groups run at a variety of times, some all year, others from September to June, and occasionally some groups run for short 6 week periods, so there is something for everyone’s schedule!  Small groups meet in a variety of homes in a community near you!  Beverly Alliance is excited to offer a great variety of small groups for all adults and even youth from grades 7-12.

What happens at a Small Group?

Small groups are primarily great places to build lasting, meaningful relationships and are held together by three key components; Scripture, Support and Service.  The three of these components work in unity to help us all live purposeful lives in which we are able to grow as individuals and reach our full God-given potential as a church.  Each small group has its own style and identity.  Small groups are designed to create a welcoming environment for every person whether a regular Sunday morning church attendee or for those just looking to connect with people in their community.  They are a place where you can be connected, valued and encouraged by people who live in your neighborhood.

The Three Components…

Scripture:

All Small Groups are encouraged to spend a portion of their evening looking into God’s Word, the Bible.  This is to help encourage one another through life and to help bring understanding of the purpose that God has for each of our individual lives.

Support:

Small groups are the best support you will ever find in your life.  Each group is composed of individuals committed to one another through all circumstances, the good, the bad and the ugly.  Your small group is able to know your individual and family needs better than anyone else, and are therefore better equipped to help you meet those needs through prayer, encouragement, hands on help, and just by being a caring friend.  You will be supported and be able to support others by being in a community that treats others the way they wish to be treated!

Service:

The best part about being in community together is simply strength in numbers, you’re not alone!  However, because of the small size (up to 12 people) of these groups it is easy to mobilize and plan to meet each others needs as well as the needs of those in your community.  Service is a great way to bless others with each individual’s gifts, talents and abilities that are unique only to your small group.

Better Together!

Together we can learn to love Jesus Christ and become disciple-making disciples who bring positive change to our communities!  Please join us on this journey of life together!
